Birthday Bonanza!

It's almost our birthday! The first SilkQuit Meter was released back in December 1996 and we're very pleased to announce a whole host of new stuff to celebrate our 10th birthday.

Unlike some other quit smoking websites born around the same time as us, we haven't sold out to the attractions of becoming a commercial operation. Instead we continue to offer all of our services free of charge. This will always remain the case for as long we're calling the shots and we are very proud to be an integral part of the Internet's long established quit smoking community.

So what can you expect from SilkQuit.Org this month? Well, we have a modest showcase of new features being released in December, including:

* A free online quit meter which runs in your web browser

* A free online quit meter which you can add to your website

We're not talking about a graphic image or a refreshing page. We're talking about a live, ticking, quit meter which you can run on your Mac, your Windows PC or your Linux box.

December's release is only the beginning. 2007 will see a rapid expansion of functionality on our website for your browser, your desktop, your mobile phone and your PDA. I don't want to give too much away right now but during 2007 SilkQuit.Org will morph into the world's most forward thinking and relevant online quit smoking website.
